Man arrested for stealing pride flags in Frenchtown

FRENCHTOWN — A borough man was arrested and charged with stealing and damaging several flags supporting the LGBTQ community earlier this month.
An investigation into the August 8 incident is continuing, according to the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office, but so far Justin Settembrino, 30, has been charged with intimidation, criminal mischief and two counts of theft movable property.
Settembrino was positively identified as a person in the surveillance video who was flying the flags in question, authorities said. On August 28, Frenchtown police were dispatched to report several pride flags recovered from the Delaware River.
